Monday 15th September
Take an early morning crossing from Dover to Calais with P&O, then head down to your campsite
La Barbanne, just outside St Emilion. Welcome drinks will be served at campsite reception that evening.
Tuesday 16th September
A free day for you to settle in at the campsite and relax after your journey.
Wednesday 17th September
You'll walk to the centre of St Emilion for a guided tour of this fascinating medieval town, taking in its museums, church and underground catacombs! This will be followed by an introduction to wine tasting at a local chateau, where a buffet lunch will be served.
Thursday 18th September
A free day where you can relax by the campsite swimming pool, or explore the surrounding area - the campsite staff have plenty of suggestions for places of interest to explore.
Friday 19th September
Today's excursion has a "gourmet" theme. You'll visit a prune farm; this fruit is a local speciality and features in many dishes on menus across the region. There'll be plenty of tasting opportunities, before heading to the Château de Duras for a guided tour. Lunch is served in a local auberge where you will be regaled with stories from the region while tucking into some local specialities. In the afternoon you'll visit a small, local vineyard where you can learn more about the production of Cðtes de Duras wines and sample some different vintages.
Saturday 20th September
A free day for you to spend as you choose.
Sunday 21st September
Today is the Festival of St Emilion, celebrating the start of the 2008 grape harvest. There will be plenty happening in the town during the day, and in the evening you'll join your fellow rally companions for a farewell meal at a local restaurant.
Monday 22nd September
Departure from La Barbanne, with return P&O ferry from Calais to Dover.
Prices
From £473 for car & caravan plus 2 people, from £438 for motorhome plus 2 people. Supplements are payable for additional people and for vehicles over 6m long or over 1.8m high.
